Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Estimated annual base pay: $134,800 (minimum)-$168,500 (midpoint)-$202,200 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark?If you're a Engineering Manager - Actuators and Specialty Valves, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The Engineering Manager, Level 2 is responsible for building, lead, and improving an engineering organization which is responsible for designing, developing, validating, improving and/or supporting products, systems or applications. The incumbent generally reports to an Engineering Director or Site Leader and is relied upon to provide a high level of technical expertise in guiding design efforts, customer interactions, and other engineering related matters such as quality problem solving.

What you will be doing...

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster a robust design culture by implementing systemic improvements to enhance quality, velocity, and cost efficiency.

  • Develop and Maintain Design Standards: Create and improve design standards to ensure high-quality, compliant products and integrate lessons learned from quality issues into future designs.

  • Team Development and Leadership: Build and maintain a highly skilled team through training, talent management, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business demands.

  • Budget and Profitability Management: Develop and manage budgets to support profit planning while adhering to budgetary constraints.

  • Customer-Focused Innovation: Utilize structured methods (e.g., DFSS, Lean, risk analysis) to enhance product value, resolve project risks, and integrate new technologies for competitive design solutions.

  • Technical Expertise and Support: Provide product expertise to internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams, to support business growth.

  • Resource Allocation: Assign resources to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other initiatives to meet organizational objectives and critical needs.

  • Strategic Contribution: Drive strategic goals by cascading objectives, supporting other groups during critical situations, and participating in innovation and patent committees.

  • Process Oversight: Manage the product life cycle (PLC) process, ensure key deliverables, and maintain organizational documents and operating procedures.

  • External Engagement: Attend trade shows and conferences to identify and deploy new methods for improving the company's competitiveness.

What we are looking for...

Education:

  • UNITED STATES\US - Technical/Vocational Degree

  • UNITED STATES\US - Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) - preferred

Experience:

  • 8 - 12years engineering experience in an identical or closely related field

  • Greenbelt or Black belt experience

  • Previous management experience

  • Lean experience

License & Certifications:

  • Champions Training
