DevSecOps Engineer (Platform & Operations)

Location:Fort Meade, MDType: Full-Time | Clearance:TS/SCI CI Poly
Note: These positions are part of an active proposal effort and are contingent upon contract award.

Overview

DarkStar Intelligence is actively seeking DevSecOps Engineers to provide the operational backbone for CNO tool development. These engineers bridge development and operations, ensuring reliability, automation, and sustainment of critical development environments. They embody the "Ops" in DevSecOps, using platform engineering and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices to keep tools resilient and mission-ready.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to accelerate development velocity.
  • Automate deployments across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Support environment provisioning, configuration management, and system administration.
  • Cross-functionally support testing and integration during Operational Evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot, harden, and sustain development platforms to maximize uptime.
  • Ensure high scalability/availability and security of product environments
  • Monitor and manage alerts, Prometheus;
  • Enforce security best practices, role-based access control
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of DevOps, systems engineering, or platform engineering experience.
  • Strong scripting/coding skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting MARFORCYBER or USCYBERCOM platforms.
  • Experience applying site reliability engineering practices in classified environments.
  • Knowledge of RCDN and mission-specific development constraints.
