The Opportunity

The Digital Strategy Group (DSG) at Adobe is a specialized consulting team within Adobe Experience Cloud that partners with enterprise clients to accelerate their digital transformation and maximize Adobe solutions.

Key Functions of DSG:

  • Digital Acceleration: Helps organizations quickly improve their digital performance using Adobe technologies.
  • Strategic Consulting: Works with clients to establish and refine digital strategies that improve customer experiences and drive business outcomes.
  • Benchmarking & Assessments: Conducts digital maturity assessments and channel audits to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Value Realization: Provides insights into customer engagement across digital properties and helps clients reach digital maturity through tailored recommendations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: DSG collaborates with Adobe's sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align strategies with business goals.
  • DSG essentially acts as a bridge between Adobe's technology and the strategic needs of its enterprise clients, helping them unlock competitive advantages through digital innovation.

This Sr. Director will lead the Global Value Engineering team and be an important member of the DSG team. Our Value Engineering team is responsible for creating business cases that show the value delivered by our products, solutions, and services to customers across diverse industries. This role combines deep technical acumen, business insight, and leadership skills to define, architect, and execute value engineering strategies that align with organizational goals.

As value realization is one of the top priorities for Adobe, this role will also be responsible for transforming the Value Engineering organization to handle the needs that arise in a market that is experiencing drastic change due to AI. This includes enabling the team on new methodologies and working with teams throughout Adobe to create a group that will be able to support customers buying content supply chain platforms, AI and agents, and experiencing organizational change.

What you'll do

  • Value Proposition Development: Lead the design and articulation of value propositions for our products and solutions, demonstrating data-driven insights and industry benchmarks.
  • Strategic Customer Engagements: Act as a senior advisor in executive-level client interactions, understanding customer problems and business objectives, and translating technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Coordinate the use of advanced analytics, financial modeling, and AI-driven insights to quantify the business impact of our solutions for both prospects and existing clients.
  • Thought Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert and public advocate for value-based solution design, presenting at industry forums, authoring white papers, and representing the organization in key external engagements.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing team, encouraging a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Collaboration with Product and Sales: Work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to ensure that value engineering principles are embedded in solution design, go-to-market strategies, and customer success initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings to inform value engineering approaches and maintain a differentiated market position.
  • Continuous Improvement: Establish and refine frameworks, methodologies, and tools for value assessment and delivery, ensuring alignment with evolving business objectives and technology landscapes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, product strategy, or a similar subject area, with a track record of leadership in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Deep understanding of the intersection between technology (including AI, data analytics, and cloud platforms) and business value realization.
  • Proven ability to develop compelling business cases and communicate the value of technology solutions to executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies through value-driven insights.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, with a consultative approach to stakeholder engagement and change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with expertise in financial modeling, ROI analysis, and data interpretation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $199,500 -- $371,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
