Hazardous Materials Manager

STV is seeking a Hazardous Materials Manager to join our Environmental group at our New York City office.

The candidate will manage a rapidly growing Hazardous Materials Group and work on a broad range of hazardous materials, asbestos and lead Task Order Contracts, Design/Build Projects, and other capital construction and remediation projects.

The successful candidate will have at least 20 years of related hazardous materials, asbestos, lead, mold and universal waste experience. Relevant experience includes:
* Asbestos, lead, mold and industrial hygiene inspections and reporting.
* Design document preparation (plans, specifications, variance applications, supporting calculations).
* Abatement / remediation contractor management.
* Management of asbestos and lead inspectors, designers and project monitors.
* Project management (budget and schedule).
* Contract administration (proposals and invoicing).

In addition, the candidate should possess a strong technical skills, be self-motivated to take ownership of challenging problems, exhibit leadership qualities, and possess excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
* Business Development
* Manage Task Order contracts, proposals and invoicing.
* Manage staff, inspections, designs and monitoring.
* Prepare reports and design documents.
* Provide quality assurance/quality control of various environmental technical deliverables.
* Manage projects, task orders on asbestos and lead on-call contracts, mold and industrial hygiene task orders, and hazmat scope of larger multi-discipline projects.
* Coordinate with clients, contractors, government agencies and company staff.
* Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required Skills:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational capabilities
* Experience preparing reports, project specifications and design drawings
* NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector and Designer.
* NYCDEP Asbestos Investigator.
* USEPA Lead Inspector or Risk Assessor
* NYSDOL Mold Assessor
* OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
* OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training

Preferred Skills:
* Prior PANYNJ, DASNY, MTA C&D, NYCHA experience
* Experience with NYSDOL and NYCDEP projects
* C-3 Supervisor/Competent Person Training for Deleading of Industrial Structures (SSPC)
