TITLE: Work Program/Student


POSITION OBJECTIVE: To gain exposure to US manufacturing processes as a Mechanical Engineer through a one-year internship program.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be a current college student enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering field
  • Strong knowledge of IBM AS400 system to setup PM work, spare parts management, purchasing flowchart and review PO status
  • Must have experience with and be proficient using AutoCAD
  • Ability to use ProE or Solidworks to review product design and manufacturing process
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work experience of a Mechanical supervisor is a plus
  • Ability to assign cost analysis criteria to projects and determine potential cost savings on a project by project basis. Experience leading a project is a plus
  • Fluent in English communication (both oral and written) required


  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Setup spare parts in AS400 system
  • Improve and modify existing equipment
  • Analyze bearing grease working performance
  • Analyze and record extruder screw and barrel working condition
  • Review equipment installation, operation and maintenance manual, technical data and drawings
  • Create equipment number, setup and implement maintenance management system in computer main frame
  • Create routine checks and preventative maintenance
  • Setup route check maintenance work lists
  • Setup and coordinate maintenance TPM program
  • Help troubleshoot emergency repair work to minimize production downtime
  • Plan and schedule control on installation and improvement projects
  • Engineering, planning and cost estimation on job site projects
  • Supervise and schedule control on project progress
  • Equipment abnormal analysis and improvement proposal
  • Report equipment abnormalities and cause of breakdown analysis
