We are seeking a Location Manager Pipe for County Materials at our Iowa City, IA location.

Job Duties:


  • Manages overall location operations, sales and quality control for location.
  • Oversee and manage all plant and sales team members.
  • Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and resource utilization to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Prepare and manage annual plant budget, including cost control and capital expenditure planning.
  • Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines and team members.
  • Understand the market, market dynamics and customer base to maximize sales results.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the company's production capacity and growth goals.
  • Forecast demand and work with production planning to ensure alignment.
  • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and OEMs.
  • Handle major accounts and negotiate contracts.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the plant, ensuring needs are met.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams.
  • Communicate customer requirements and feedback to improve product offerings and delivery performance.
  • Lead and develop the sales team (inside sales, outside sales, account managers).
  • Ensure a safe work environment through adherence to safety standards and fostering a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Work Environment:


  • Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
  • Work in a noisy environment

Physical Requirements:


  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds occasionally
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing
  • Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending

Experience & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of commonly used industry concepts, practices, and procedures preferred.
  • Exercise good judgment regarding work site operations
  • Ability to perform well as a team
  • Self-motivator and must be flexible in order to accommodate needs of your team.
  • Safety minded when performing tasks
  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained
