Sr. Associate - Graphic Design

Lafayette Group is seeking qualified and team-oriented individuals to work with federal government organizations in support of national cybersecurity initiatives. The Graphic Design - Sr. Associate works on projects that facilitate collaboration and coordination of national cyber planning and defense. This position creates compelling visual content that translates complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and professional graphics consistent with existing federal brand guidelines. Daily tasks include drafting assets and collateral materials such as reports, presentations, training programs, awareness campaigns, and content for digital platforms.

Job Responsibilities:
- Design infographics, data visualizations, diagrams, and flowcharts that illustrate cybersecurity processes (e.g., threat detection workflows, incident response playbooks, SIEM/EDR architecture).
- Create icons, logos, and visual assets to support technical reports, dashboards, and knowledge portals.
- Review content for alignment with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK), federal directives, operating guidelines, and client objectives to maintain consistency across products.
- Support the development of engaging training content, e-learning graphics, and explainer visuals.
- Assist with client engagement and support, including preparing for and leading meetings, facilitating effective scoping discussions, and developing plans, documents, and reports to support client needs.
- Support the development of written work products within and across areas of responsibility, including strategic plans, project plans, presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and white papers; ensure complex cybersecurity concepts and technologies are represented with clear, accessible, and accurate graphic assets.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders; demonstrate that you hear and understand their needs, value their feedback, and are their partner in achieving their goals.

Required Qualifications:
- 3-6 years experience in graphic design, visual communication, communications, marketing, or similar background
- Demonstrated ability to develop clear diagrams of technical systems and workflows, data visualization, and infographics
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills; diplomatic and an excellent listener
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, and work on several projects simultaneously; demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously
- Ability to interact and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in cybersecurity, homeland security and/or public safety operations or technology
- Experience with consulting in a professional environment
- Experience with government and academic writing styles
- Experience collaborating and supporting Subject Matter Experts
- Experience implementing AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity.ai) and Python
- Existing TS or Secret clearance or DHS Suitability
Location: Arlington, VA
Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Salary Range: ?$60,000-$85,000
Expected Start Date: October 1, 2025
Contingent Hire: This position will be hired contingent upon winning the Federal contract work.
