The Role:

As the Executive Director of Brand Strategy, Research, and Insights, you will revolutionize these functions into proactive, consultative centers providing invaluable insights across our Marketing and Digital Experience Team (MDEX) and the broader organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Brand and Division Marketing Officer, you will spearhead the recruitment and development of a top-tier team of marketing researchers and brand strategists. Your team will uncover core human truths that guide strategic and tactical decisions, translating data and insights into actionable recommendations that drive brand success and improve patient and caregiver experiences. You will also work directly with executives, embodying and promoting Providence's mission, values, and philosophy in all aspects of your work.

What You'll Do:



  • Architect of Transformation: Design and manage the vision, capabilities, budget, and plan for Brand Strategy and Research and Insights, aligning with Providence's mission and goals.
  • Team Builder: Recruit and nurture a team of skilled marketing researchers and brand strategists to inform strategic decisions and enhance brand strategy and campaigns.
  • Partnership Cultivator: Develop partnerships with world-class research and brand strategy agencies, ensuring service excellence and competitive costs while embracing innovative methodologies.
  • Executive Influencer: Navigate and shape a large, matrixed enterprise with clear, effective communication and collaboration, advising executives with strategic insights and problem-solving.
  • Collaborative Innovator: Partner with data analytics teams to generate hypotheses, explain behavioral data, and develop compelling brand positioning.


What You'll Bring:



  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing Research, Marketing, Psychology, Data Science, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience: Over 10 years in marketing or related functions.
  • Leadership: At least 10 years leading and supervising teams.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of research methodologies, brand management, B2C and B2B marketing, and customer experience.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills with a proven ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mindset: Growth-oriented with a passion for learning and advancing within the healthcare industry.

Further, we want our leaders to live in or near the communities we serve. Therefore, leaders applying for this role will be required to work a hybrid schedule, which consists of three days onsite, two days remote and live within a reasonable commuting distance to the ministry or service area they support and lead.
