Benchmark Human Services has grown to become one of the most respected leaders in the country in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health. We work with people of all ages at home, at work, and in the community through residential programs, employment services, crisis response, day services and more.

We are hiring a Community Outreach Coordinator to conduct activities and developmental screenings for children 0-36 months through increased Child Find events and targeted outreach activities, as outlined in the Child Find plan.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement, manage, and monitor the Child Find plan for the assigned area.
  • Coordinate and conduct child find events and activities.
  • Develop and build relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Distribute public awareness materials.
  • Manage and track MOUs with referral sources and community partners.
  • Participate in community workgroups and meetings.
  • Collaborate with public relations firms.
  • Track and monitor performance outcome data, including but not limited to:

* number of events related to community outreach and child find activities.

* number of community outreach by mailers, phone calls, and in-person contacts.

* number of screenings and referrals resulting from child find activities.

* referral sources and the number of quality referrals (eligible children) resulting from each referral source.

* details on the outcome of phone calls and in-person contacts.

  • Work with Benchmark Marketing Team to develop strategic marketing initiatives and execute related deliverables, including, print and digital marketing materials, social media strategy, special events, and community sponsorships.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience with a college degree and 10 years of relevant experience without a college degree
  • Preferred degree in one of the following: Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child/Human Development, Social Work, Public Health, Sociology, Nursing, Psychology, or other State-approved degree.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities, ability to work as part of a team, and effective communication skills.
