Job Description Summary:

Oversees the maintenance of the physical infrastructure and equipment of facilities, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Supports projects related to space and assists leadership in space planning, forecasting, and implementation of space plans.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains and oversees the upkeep of facilities and equipment, coordinating projects, teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitors and manages inventory of facilities, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and operating budgets regarding facilities and equipment.
  • Conducts regular rounds and communicates with staff and management to identify and address any potential hazards or regulatory compliance issues, and ensures that facilities meet all needs, expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with user groups and project/construction teams to support the planning, development, submission, and execution of capital projects.
  • Maintains space categorization and assignments, including databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, and develops processes to collect and maintain accurate data
  • Prepares space data for report creation, generates reports for internal and external use, and makes recommendations based on data analysis.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or related field, preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills necessary to recommend and achieve solutions.

Experience:

  • Four years of experience in facility management or related field, required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.
  • Regulatory or accreditation experience, preferred.
