Position Summary:

The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:

  • Work effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Produce and organize detailed technical drawings and plans
  • Work in a team environment with engineers and other technicians
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to perform field assessments on existing structures and assist with field inspection on construction projects
  • Accurately field measure existing conditions to detail replacement or supplemental components
  • Ensure construction projects are completed in accordance with Construction Contract Documents
  • Maintain project records, log daily construction activities, and document quantities
  • 5 to 10% travel to job sites, mostly within 100 miles, overnight travel is rarely required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Drafting, Civil Technology, or related field
  • 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
  • Willing and able to travel to job sites
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience developing structural plans and detail drawings
  • Previous inspection or field work experience
  • MSHA or MNDOT certifications
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative group
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to be concise and communicate effectively
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external disciplines

Salary Range

  • This position's anticipated base salary range is $51,300-$62,000 annually (This position is eligible for yearend and profit-sharing bonuses, as well as overtime pay for all hours that exceed 40 in a work week). Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
