The individual will be responsible for the daily management of all production activities and Continuous improvement efforts in an assigned value stream. Will work closely with program management, production control, engineering, production leadership, purchasing, logistics, quality, and human resources to ensure that all required resources such as people, work assignments, job travelers, manufacturing instructions, and supply/logistics requirements are organized within the value stream to meet the company's established production schedule.


Responsibilities:



  • Manages all production activities and drives the efforts to meet Department cost, scrap, and productivity goals. In addition, will drive continuous improvement in an assigned value stream.
  • Serves as a role model and provides positive daily leadership and coaching for all team members to include conducting daily status meetings with the team, informing the team of applicable company notices, establishing daily work expectations for each team member, organizing job training and cross training, providing ongoing coaching on job performance, and initiating disciplinary action if needed.
  • Maintains value stream informational boards and prepares informational reports and daily status updates as required.
  • Leads, attends and participates in daily meetings with the Operations Team and in other meetings as scheduled.
  • Ensures good teamwork among value stream employees and that each team member complies with company policies, procedures, core values, quality requirements, environmental, health and safety standards, external regulatory requirements, and employment laws.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by manager including direct labor tasks as identified.


Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED required



Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Microsoft Office and Epicor
  • Ability to read Blueprints, Engineering and Other Technical Drawings
  • LEAN Manufacturing
  • Basics of Employment and OSHA Laws
  • Production Scheduling
