Job Summary

Oversee the daily operation of the department's alternative transportation and micro-mobility programs and be the catalyst behind creating a car-lite culture for campus faculty, staff and students. Responsible for creating initiatives and proposing infrastructure that will make biking, walking, riding transit, and other forms of micro mobility an effective and viable option to single occupancy vehicles for commuting to and around campus; and increasing communication and outreach with the campus community, encouraging climate-friendly options for campus commuters. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: Division senior administrators, Facilities, police, faculty, staff, students, visitors, vendors

This position will typically advise and counsel: Division administrators, Facilities, police, faculty, staff, students, visitors, vendors, consultants, contractors. Frequent interactions with external agencies, the City of Atlanta, and other transportation/Transportation Demand Management providers in the region/state

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Support the Transportation Director, Parking team, Campus Architects, GTPD, and other campus stakeholders with developing and implementing strategic short- and long-term transportation plans for the campus.

Job Duty 2 -

Serve as primary campus liaison to coordinate monthly transit pass program and lead collaboration with regional transit agencies and alternative transportation providers to implement commute solutions that promote and improve non-single occupancy vehicle modes, such as public transit, micromobility, ridesharing, and biking.

Job Duty 3 -
Support strategic planning for campus Transportation Demand Management through conducting surveys, data collection, analysis, and program performance evaluation.

Job Duty 4 -
Coordinate with Communications team to develop and manage promotional content, including web updates, articles, and newsletters, to advance alternative transportation initiatives. Lead presentations, organize and participate in campus events to increase awareness and engagement.

Job Duty 5 -
Collaborate with Policy Steering Committee to create, analyze, and modify TDM policies. Ensure compliance with governmental transportation regulations and policies.

Job Duty 6 -
Conduct regular inspections of micro-mobility infrastructure, including racks, striping, signage, and fixit stations, to identify and recommend improvements. Oversee special projects assigned by senior leadership.

Job Duty 7 -
Support annual Stinger and Stingerette service analysis to evaluate schedules, routes, and stop/zone efficiency. Assist with route design, schedule development, and report preparation on the performance and usage.

Job Duty 8 -
Manage micro-mobility initiatives and oversee front-end operations of EV charging stations. Research transportation grant opportunities, prepare applications, and manage compliance reporting.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning, Environmental Studies related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
This position may require international travel.

Required Experience
Four to six years of job-related experience.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the job requirements, as well as relevant work experience:

relevant proposals / analyses
o Excellent interpersonal, listening, and critical thinking skills
o Demonstrated solid planning and organizational skills
o Demonstrated problem solving, critical analysis and decision-making skills

o Strong relevant subject matter knowledge
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Knowledge of the regional transportation network, agencies and policies and prior experience in
transportation planning are preferred
o This job requires knowledge of the shared micro-mobility industry; experience developing and
implementing pilot programs and/or pilot projects; advanced knowledge and user of survey tools
o This job requires proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, advanced expertise in Excel; strong
attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, ability to effectively multi-task, ability to work with all levels of management

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's degree in related field.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
This job requires occasional travel up to 10% or more of the time.
Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings effectively.

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of federal, state, and regional transportation funding and regulatory policies. Familiarity with grant writing and reporting processes. Knowledge of current trends in alternative transportation modes and their relationship with land use and travel demand. Understanding of transportation management planning, development, and evaluation.

SKILLS
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
