Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to Georgia Tech College of Lifetime Learnings growing portfolio of interactive media production including Online Masters program (distance learning) courses, ensuring sustainability and market relevancy. The role oversees Georgia Tech's online credit-bearing Online Masters Program (distance learning) courses, select undergraduate online courses, high school dual enrollment, and special event support. Additionally, the role will guide the identification, integration, and continuous evaluation of technologies that allow for efficient and effective asynchronous content capture as well as technologies for faculty, student, and staff use. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations

This position will interact on a regular basis with: GTPE leadership, faculty, and staff.
This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, staff and external stakeholders.
This position will supervise: Assigned staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Supervise and manage daily operations of the video production team.

Job Duty 2 -
Oversee all stages of the asynchronous and synchronous media production including pre-semester preparations, staff training, AV infrastructure testing, filming, post-production, and quality control, in the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center and the Institute's distance learning classrooms to ensure consistency in quality and implementation.

Job Duty 3 -
Research, evaluate and develop applicable technologies and equipment for use in media production operations and serve as a consultant for media production infrastructure, room design, and operations with external partners across campus.

Job Duty 4 -
Interfaces with unit AV/IT support staff, Online Masters academic program management and colleges, and other units to plan, prioritize, and implement production objectives.

Job Duty 5 -
Assist in performing advanced technical troubleshooting for video/audio production problems and video conferencing problems.

Job Duty 6 -
Oversees media production resource planning and allocation based on project priorities.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Distance Learning Master Control Operators certificate

Required Experience
Eight to ten years of job related experience

Proposed Salary

$90,979.00 - $107,355.00

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
Specialized skills required for this job: This job requires advanced understanding of synchronous and asynchronous audio and video production techniques and equipment operation; advanced understanding of videoconferencing equipment and operations; working knowledge of IP networks, electronic encoding, streaming and capture, and basic computer operations; familiarity with higher ed policies, student information systems, and learning management systems; effective communication and organizational skills, customer service skills and experience, attention to detail.

Specialized skills preferred: Experience in higher education media production or instructional technology environments.
