Summary of Job Description:

The Associate Accountant (Fixed Assets) (T) position is responsible for reviewing and categorizing Fixed Assets in the Business Assets system based on established criteria and guidelines, ensuring the costs incurred to acquire assets are properly classified within the financial statements. This position works with other Fixed Assets associates to ensure Fixed Assets are properly updated and accounted for.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures assets are properly categorized in the Business Assets system based on established criteria and guidelines. Monitors the capital expenditure process to ensure it is properly implemented.
  • Reviews invoices for capitalization or expense within Workday.
  • Responds to inquiries from the Facilities team and general managers regarding capitalization, repairs, and maintenance. Provides supportfor P&L inquiries as needed.
  • Records changes of assets' status, including disposal, transfer, and adjustments.Works with other Accounting associates to ensure Fixed Assets are properly updated and accounted for.
  • Assists in retrieving fixed asset invoices for sales tax audits.
  • Generates periodic Fixed Asset reports.
  • May assist with guiding Accounting associates on Fixed Assets and the Business Assets system.
  • Participates in special projects, proactively seeking to improve department processes.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with coursework in Accounting required
  • Minimum one year of related experience preferred in a retail/hospitality environment
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
  • If hired, successful completion of annual store training

Pay Range: P1 $28-$35/ Hour

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
