Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Senior Accountant will report to and assist the Division Controller with all aspects of Accounting and financial reporting. The work scope will span aspects of GL postings, cost accounting, sales accounting, asset and inventory management, budgeting and reporting.

In addition to standard accounting expertise, the Senior Accountant will also possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, be eager to tackle problems and tasks and be a self-starter with the ability to adapt to the accounting calendar and deadlines

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Job costing and analysis
  • Inventory and other asset management
  • International Credit instruments and assistance on collections
  • G/L entries and reconciliations
  • Assistance to the budget process and in financial reporting.
  • Other Accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, or business with an emphasis in accounting, is required.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience
  • Possess a skill and orientation to/with financial and numeric data.

    A flair for accounting detail, reconciliation and accuracy is expected.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and other accounting software.

    Specific ability with Pivot tables, V-Lookup and other functional skills is preferred.
  • The ability to adapt to the accounting calendar and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to communicate effectively.
