Janesville, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: Job description Your role: Safely facilitate tasks for preventative maintenance for state-of-the-art equipment according to the established procedures. Demonstrate problem solving skills related to the thermoforming, extrusion, and facility equipment functions. Practice good communication skills both oral and written while working in a limited supervision environment. Maintain an environment critical to safe food packaging production. Know basic math including percentages, how to use a calculator, and how to read a tape measure down to 1/16th inch. Basic knowledge of general hand tools. Communicate orally and written in the English language. Good reasoning ability with a high school diploma or equivalent. Attendance better than the next guy, we need you at work. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: * Install, inspect, troubleshoot, support, repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical, and other related systems in all production and supporting departments * Determine materials parts and equipment to be used for repair, installation, and stock. * Schedule and participate in preventative maintenance on equipment and calibration of equipment systems * Maintain system logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment * Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly * Repair, rework or calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances * Initiate purchase order requisitions for spare parts and tools * Set up and operate drill press, grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools Qualifications: * Minimum 3 years in industrial/commercial maintenance experience preferred * Strong interest in mechanical systems * Ability to effectively communicate (both written and oral) * Quality oriented and high attention to detail * Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities * Adapt easily to changing situations * Strong teamwork skills * Open to and able to work long hours and weekends when needed * Dependable |
