Purpose

Conceptualize, develop, and implement impactful integrated marketing initiatives, lead-generation events, and social media strategy for Extended Education Ventures and our cross-campus partner programs.

Responsibilities
  • Communications & Content Development: Plan and manage development of marketing content for use in advertising, email marketing and automation, on program websites, and on Marketo-based landing pages. Manage the Extended Campus monthly newsletter, including content strategy, planning, writing, and delivery. Work closely with other members of the EEV marketing team to develop written and visual content and messaging that both adheres to UT Austin branding guidelines and meets EEVs expectations for excellence. Maintain website content, blogs, for assigned portfolio of programs, including Human Dimensions of Organizations, the Center for Professional Education, Extended Campus, University Extension and other programs, as requested.

  • Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Implementation: Research, plan, and implement marketing activities for assigned EEV and cross-campus partner programs using a variety of tactics, including digital and traditional advertising, content marketing, e-mail marketing, automated nurture campaigns, and social media. Plan, manage, and track registration and engagement for marketing events, such as info sessions and webinars. Develop and track marketing budget and schedule of deliverables for assigned programs including Human Dimensions of Organizations, the Center for Professional Education, Extended Campus, University Extension and other programs, as requested. Track and report on success of marketing initiatives.

  • Research: Work with EEVs course programming and enrollment and student services teams to understand priorities and goals. Become an expert on EEV products, programs, and audiences. Examine market, audience, registration, and customer data to plan relevant campaign initiatives using a variety of platforms. Support marketing director and managers provide data driven, strategic input about audiences, market conditions, and marketing platforms and tools.

  • Support Team Activities: Support the marketing director and managers in maintaining relationships with other university departments, colleges, and schools.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of related professional experience, or eight years of related professional experience. Proven ability to take initiative and work in an ever-changing environment. We prefer at least two years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, content development, or a related field. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications. Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, in a highly collaborative team environment. Professional demeanor, strong customer service ethic, and excellent attention to detail. Demonstrates core values as listed in the general notes section of posting.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and more than three years of related professional experience. Marketing experience within higher education. Experience marketing continuing, professional, or online education. More than five years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, content development, or a related field. Understanding of how to build brand awareness, create on-brand messaging, and manage brand assets. Experience with Photoshop (or image editing software), Drupal, WordPress or Marketo. Experience with integrated digital marketing campaigns across platforms, including Google Ads, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Hootsuite, and/or YouTube. Familiarity with SEO, website analytics, and basic HTML.

Hourly Rate

$25 + Depending on qualifications

Work Shift
  • 40 hours per week

  • Work hours can be between 7 am to 6 pm
