Senior Analyst of Finance and Risk

This exciting position offers you the chance to provide direct support to the Vice President of Finance across multiple key areas. Your responsibilities will include managing banking relationships, overseeing monthly and annual reporting, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You'll also play a vital role in supporting insurance activities by gathering renewal information and evaluating strategic alternatives. Plus, you'll be actively involved in M&A transactions through due diligence, data room management, and post-acquisition integration of accounting and business processes. Key Responsibilities



  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with business units to enhance financial reporting. You'll have the opportunity to travel once per quarter to connect with business units!
  • Support banking functions including budgeting, monthly borrowing base reporting, compliance requirements, and annual field exam and inventory appraisals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective banking and insurance broker partners.
  • Assist in the insurance renewal process by gathering information for submissions and helping to answer underwriter questions.
  • Contribute to insurance initiatives such as captive feasibility, engineering visits and recommendations, and other risk management best practices.
  • Manage the issuance of Certificates for Burris and Redistribution facilities.
  • Support the M&A process as needed, including data room management, due diligence, establishment of budgets, and post-audits.
  • Provide post-acquisition integration support for accounting and other business processes.
  • Engage in the research, evaluation, and implementation of AI and automation of financial processes.


Experience & Qualifications



  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a financial, banking, or insurance and risk management-related role is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner and communicate professionally with vendors and Burris team members.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, database management, ERP systems, and other software applications. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus!
  • Exposure to AI, automation, and advanced analytic tools is strongly preferred.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills to balance recurring duties with M&A and special projects are essential.
  • Analytical problem-solving expertise combined with strong project management skills will set you apart!


Work Environment



  • Enjoy a Hybrid Work Arrangement: 1 day(s) per week in our office in Milford, Delaware!
  • Occasional travel, approximately once per quarter, to keep things exciting!
