Job Summary

The General Services Tech I (entry level) performs the following duties on a mobile basis: sheetrock repairs, texture, FRP repairs, painting, tile repairs, concrete patching/replace, caulking, sealing, carpentry, & hardware repairs. Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the above mentioned items to our service customers in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Maintains truck inventory of basic materials, hand and power tools. Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all company safety requirements.


Essential Duties

  • Performs a diverse range of tasks on a mobile basis including sheetrock repairs, texture work, FRP repairs, painting, tile repairs, concrete patching/replacement, caulking, sealing, and hardware repairs.
  • Proactively responds to Service Work Orders from dispatch, ensuring timely maintenance and effective communication with both dispatch and customers to maintain a smooth schedule.
  • Collaborates with fellow technicians in the maintenance and repair of diverse systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Utilizes standard issue tools and equipment while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment for efficient operations.
  • Works on and completes all service team-based goals.
  • Performs any other duties as necessary to support operational needs and team goals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the methods and principles of general building maintenance and repairs.
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic in all interactions and tasks.
  • Possesses strong communication skills in both oral and written forms to facilitate clear and efficient interactions.
  • Demonstrates punctuality and dependability in all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Possesses basic skills in operating smartphone devices and applications to support job functions effectively.
