What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Project Accountant II to join our Shared Services team. This position is fully remote. What you'll be challenged to do: As a Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across various projects. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, collaborative environment and enjoys supporting diverse project teams. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Reading and interpreting client contracts for accurate project set-up and compliance with corporate guidelines. Reviewing and verifying project set-up documents, budgets, and revisions, ensuring adherence to Project Management & Quality Guidelines and the Revenue Decision Making Matrix. Entering new and revised project data, including budgets, work breakdown structures, client information, and billing details into our Project Accounting System. Assisting with subconsultant invoice processing and coordinating payment releases. Producing monthly Draft and Final invoice packets for clients. Posting Final Invoices to Accounts Receivable, adjusting entries, revising invoices as necessary, and archiving invoices. Conducting Work-in-Process analysis and Project Analysis. Performing Project Closeout Analysis. Supporting internal and external audits as needed.

What you will bring to our firm:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 2+ years' experience specifically in Project Accounting. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to prepare intermediate invoices using Project Accounting Systems, Excel, and Client Portals. Working knowledge of Project Accounting Software (e.g., BST or Deltek). Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and multitasking abilities. Effective time-management skills and a collaborative, cooperative attitude, especially when working under pressure.
Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000, Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
