EAB's Product Marketing team is looking for a talented and driven content marketer to join our team to support Edify, EAB's data management platform.

The Technology Product Marketing team develops content and strategies to increase brand awareness, improve competitive positioning, generate demand, support sales, and drive utilization for the Technology business. This includes developing thought leadership content such as blog posts, insight papers, and infographics; content for webinars and conference presentations; and sales enablement collateral such as pitch decks, product one-pagers, case studies, and more.

In addition to a passion for marketing, we are looking for a candidate with knowledge of higher education data and IT functions who can create exciting original content about data management.

The position is open to candidates in Washington, D.C., Richmond, VA, or remote candidates in the continental U.S. For remote candidates, travel to one of our offices in Washington D.C. and/or Richmond, VA is required periodically throughout the year.

Primary Responsibilities:

This Senior Analyst will operate under the guidance of Product Marketing Leadership, leveraging the full resources of the marketing organization including sales leaders, demand generation managers, web editors, research teams, as well as other key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities include:



  • Creating content


    • Writes, produces, and edits effective persona-driven content to support the entire funnel, which could include blog posts, case studies, conference presentations, insight papers, webinars, infographics, video testimonials, executive briefings, reference webinars, visit decks, scripts, competitive positioning pieces, brochures, executive summaries, website content, nurturing assets, urgency documents, and other collateral.
    • Develops and manages a content calendar based on external research and interviews with internal stakeholders.
    • Translates technical product features into compelling value propositions tailored to leadership and technical audiences; adapts style, tone, and word choice to various media.
    • Proactively applies SEO and content performance best practices to ensure visibility and relevance in competitive digital environments.
    • Proactively edits existing collateral and scripting to reflect latest market intelligence and industry trends.
    • Achieves high standards of quality, productivity, and timeliness.


  • Driving innovation


    • Proposes and tests new channels, deliverables, formats, and ideas.
    • Actively contributes to the evolution of the firm's Marketing function, sharing insights and best practices to enhance overall performance.


  • Collaborating across teams


    • Collaborates with other groups across the firm, such as sales, creative services, client teams, research, product management, and events.



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-4+ years professional experience in product marketing, content marketing, or research
  • Able to clearly and precisely express complex ideas in written and graphical form; skilled at adapting language, format, and style for various media and audiences
  • Skilled writer, preferably with both blog and long-form content writing experience
  • Able to take ownership and drive projects from beginning to end, working with multiple groups effectively and on multiple projects concurrently
  • Intellectually curious, quick study, creative, attentive to detail, and self-motivated
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Willingness to travel to a Richmond and/or D.C. office twice annually to meet with team members


Ideal Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in marketing, business, data management, or higher education
  • Knowledge of the U.S. higher education industry - ideally data, analytics, IT, or IR functions

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is $55,000 - $80,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
