Job Description

The Supervisor - Transportation Planner is responsible for managing their transport drivers' daily loads. This position is also responsible for managing and ensuring all carrier/broker partners are scheduling all outbound finished goods, inbound purchased full goods, and inbound raw materials.

What your day will look like:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire, and train associates
  • Appraise performance
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
  • Builds positive associate morale
  • Planner will use SAP, email, phone, and Transportation Management System
  • Resolve any open issues related to movement of product and raw materials between Coca-Cola UNITED shipping and receiving locations
  • Responsible for ensuring all loads of inbound finished goods, outbound finished goods, and raw materials have a carrier assigned for pick-up and delivery and are scheduled on the dock schedule in E2open.
  • Manages the United Internal Fleet drivers and their daily schedule
  • Audit and code all equipment and freight invoices to the appropriate General Ledger accounts as needed
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays or flexible schedule as required
  • Supply Chain experience preferred
  • Transportation Management System experience preferred
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, problem solving, adaptability, and strategical thinking skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
