The Software QA Analyst is integral to maintaining SanMar's quality standards for software projects, products, and enhancements. Collaborating with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Application Lifecycle Management team members, they ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software. What Will You Be Doing?
- Evaluate product requirements and functional specifications; create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Document, report, track and troubleshoot defects found during testing, launch and product usage.
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design document and provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Work closely with project team (including customers, developers, business analysts and project managers) to communicate status and schedule.
- Perform targeted and impact analysis regression testing.
- Interact and coordinate test activities with multiple teams.
- Provide weeknight and weekend launch support when needed.
- Prepare and report data required for QA metrics related to test tracking, efficiency, effort, effectiveness and coverage.
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools, techniques and strategies.
- Provide information/data required to document status and test results report.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years experience in a software development environment with in-depth knowledge of formal software test methodologies, principles and best practices
- Proficiency in software development environments with expertise in formal software test methodologies and best practices
- Experienced in testing web-based applications, ERP systems, and n-tier internet-based applications
- Skilled in creating test scripts, test cases, test plans, and executing tests
- Familiarity with various testing disciplines including gray and black box testing, functional testing, deployment testing, regression testing, system integration testing, and web-based and BVT tests
- Knowledge of test automation tools, preferably Selenium WebDriver, and experience with test automation using high-level computer languages such as Java, C#, and X++
- Experience with agile approaches to software lifecycle management
- Basic knowledge of Azure LogicApps, Azure FunctionApps, and Azure Service Bus
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and ability to understand and modify existing T-SQL scripts and stored procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure DevOps and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr)
- Understanding of testing web services like SOAP and REST
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server
- Basic knowledge of ETL testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document ideas concisely and quickly
- Ability and energy to work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a strong quality focus on each
- Ability to establish a plan and work independently to execute, including self-management in times of stress and making timely decisions aligned with business goals
What's Our Offer? Salary Range: You`ll earn between $80,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off. What Should You Expect? Hybrid: SanMar's Eastpointe office is located in Issaquah, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. Employees are required to work in our offices Tuesday through Thursday each week and additional days may be added based on business needs. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. Quarterly travel may be required.
