Position Overview

Phlebotomists I and II represent the face of the company to patients during both routine visits and life-impacting health decisions. Responsibilities include drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and creating an atmosphere of trust and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities



  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment
  • Confidently conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public


Job Requirements

  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • Strong customer service skills preferred (retail or service environment)
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)


Work Experience - Phlebotomist I

  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
  • One or more years of experience preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred


Work Experience - Phlebotomist II

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Two or more years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred


Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, Transportation)

  • Must list home city on resume; pay rate is based on direct years of experience (overlapping roles do not count twice)
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from worksites (bus, Uber, rideshare not acceptable)
  • Must be available to work all scheduled shifts and stay for full shift
  • Excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination
  • Candidates must live within a 25-minute commute to assigned site; verify commute time prior to submission
