Full Time -Day shift

Performs a variety of clerical and communication duties to develop and maintain complete and current for the Assisted Living schedules. Maintains employee attendance and payroll records.



  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and relationships with the nursing staff.
  • Maintains resident and staff confidentiality.
  • Updates Master Schedule with all changes
  • Prepares, updates, and distributes a working 4-week schedule.
  • Prepares, updates, and distributes the weekly schedules for each shift.
  • Communicate daily schedule changes or concerns to Nursing Supervisor(s)
  • Receives all schedule changes and PTO requests and takes appropriate action to maintain staffing
  • Calls replacement staff or cancels extra staff according to established criteria.
  • Maintains the holiday rotation schedule for all shifts.
  • Prepares, completes, posts, and files Daily Nursing Staffing Form.
  • Maintains staff attendance cards utilizing the absentee report and forwards a copy to direct
  • Tracks attendance for bonus eligibility.
  • Maintains a list of requested shift/status changes.
  • Coordinates utilization of outside temporary agency staff.
  • Completes all nursing department payroll data entry in the facility's automated payroll system.
  • Monitors and updates punch detail reports for accuracy.
  • A resource to staff with payroll questions.
  • Maintains monthly Nursing Scheduling Deviation Report.
  • Assembles material for reports by accumulating and compiling data as needed for Federal and State requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Knowledge and experience in scheduling.
  • Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with all staff.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant/Certified Medication Assistant, Preferred
  • Ability to speak to and hear staff.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to spend 50% of the work shift moving about the work area and Health Care Center.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines while working with frequent interruptions and last minute changes.
  • Good communication with attention to detail and accuracy.
