Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) for the North America Manufacturing Plant Team offers a unique experience to develop leadership, planning and reporting skills, cross functional partnership, and analytical capabilities. In a supply chain finance role you will gain a critical understanding of how we plan, make, and deliver food the world needs.

The North America Manufacturing Plant team supports the North America Retail, North America Foodservice and Pet segments by providing planning, forecasting and analytical support to our North America plant Finance Site Leads and operational partners. This team supports the operation and management of $2.3B.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide financial leadership for and preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts
  • Prepare monthly and interim financial reporting and analysis
  • Utilize data, analytics, and insights to enable business decisions and solve business challenges by translating insights to actionable solutions for the plant teams
  • Provide thought leadership and analytical support in development of strategic initiatives (i.e. new product costing, productivity initiatives and capital investments)
  • Provide clear, concise summaries of performance with functional and cross functional business partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA. or B.S in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Years of work experience: 3+
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization, prioritization skills with an attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to
    • Synthesize many data sources to provide meaningful analysis and identify recommendations
    • Manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously
    • Work well on a team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Establish processes, make process improvements, and effectively organize work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Years of work experience: 5+
  • Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of SAP

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • We are open to 100% remote candidates with travel based on business needs. Minneapolis based candidates will follow our hybrid work policy.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $81000.00 - $121700.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
