The Opportunity

Provides technical support for Library systems, technologies, and digital learning initiatives. Provides direct assistance to clientele with technology support and troubleshooting, information and research support, and management and inventory control of technology lending services. Provides library website design, development and maintenance to promote and provide access to resources and services. Provides marketing services in coordination with library staff to promote library services and resources, outreach programs, and special projects through the library's website, print materials, web-based marketing initiatives, and social media platforms. Regular work schedule is Monday-Friday fall & spring semesters. Work schedule varies during summer semester and campus breaks. This is a 30 hour per week position.

Marketing, Outreach, & Special Projects

  • Promote library services, events, and resources through print, web, and social media.
  • Collaborate on special projects, digital exhibits, and institutional repository initiatives.
  • Serve on the Library Marketing Committee and other library/campus committees.
  • Identifies and stays current with emerging technologies and trends in academic libraries.
    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
    • Experience providing technical support in a library, academic, or IT environment.
    • Strong knowledge of web authoring tools, HTML/CSS and content management systems.
    • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware/software and managing digital equipment.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate with a team.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Springshare products (LibCal, LibGuides), and integrated library systems.
    • Knowledge of accessibility standards and usability best practices in web design.
    • Marketing or graphic design experience, including social media content creation.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and search engine optimization.

    Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience.
