  • Estimated annual base pay: $101,600(minimum) - $127,000(midpoint) - $152,400(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Analytics Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Analytics Manager guides the people and processes responsible for developing data process automation and analytics as well as plays a key role in Woodward's digital transformation journey. This role guides the team in identifying solutions in sprawling data sets and applying business acumen to convert those insights into strategic opportunities that target results. This role combines business acumen with a passion for applying data analytics to solving real-world problems to successfully drive Woodward's business into the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Responsible for managing a team of professionals, including setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and feedback to team members using established leadership and technical expertise.

  • Resource Management: Effectively manages department resources through organizing, prioritizing, and distributing work assignments. At the same time, considers development opportunities of team members as assignments are made.

  • Contributing to Systems Strategy: Responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the company's systems and analytics strategy, including identifying opportunities for process improvement, data best practices, and technology adoption.

  • Technical Development: Builds and maintains data models, reporting systems, data automation and visualization tools that support key business decisions.

  • Training: Supports Woodward members in developing the skills needed for digital transformation including mentorship on new systems or processes, presenting live global trainings and documentation, as well as contributing to change management efforts.

  • Managing Systems: Responsible for managing and partnering with IT to manage the company's financial systems, data and analytics, including ERP, EPM, Power BI as well as other software.

  • Communication: Responsible for communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding systems and analytics, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Responsible for ensuring that systems and reporting are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Skills:

  • Leadership: The ability to mentor and coach direct reports, to work effectively as part of a team, and to collaborate with colleagues across different departments and functions to achieve shared goals and objectives.

  • Technology: The ability to use technology to manage data as well as design processes and analytics using the appropriate architecture, scripting/programming, modeling, and visualization.

  • Systems Management: The ability to manage systems, including ERP, EPM and other software and tools in partnership with internal IT and external vendors.

  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or anomalies.

  • Technical Project Management: The ability to manage projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, testing and monitoring.

  • Process Improvement: The ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding systems, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Successful Candidates Typically Have:

  • 2-5 years of substantive experience leading others

  • 5+ years of experience with the following: ERP, ETL, data warehousing, scripting/programming languages, reporting, visualization and workflow or robotics process automation

  • Bachelor's Degree with related coursework

  • Bonus points for: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Bonus points for: Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including financial reporting and analysis.
