Description
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and contractual oversight of geospatial programs in a federal government environment. This position plays a critical role in managing federal GIS projects and ensuring that all contracts are strategically negotiated, compliant with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and aligned with agency mission objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep program management experience in the federal sector, a comprehensive understanding of GIS technology and data, and a proven track record managing multi-vendor contracts within complex regulatory frameworks. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position requires frequent standing, walking, and moving around construction sites or facilities, sometimes on uneven or hazardous terrain. The candidate must be able to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary for performing inspections and handling tools or equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment is dynamic and includes both office settings and field locations, such as active construction sites or operational facilities. Candidates may be exposed to varying weather conditions, noise levels, and potential safety hazards. Strict adherence to OSHA standards, safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are required. Travel to different sites and flexibility in work hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, may be necessary to meet project deadlines and client needs. This position may also be eligible for remote work, in which case a suitable home workspace is required to support effective job performance.
