Summary Job Description: Job Summary: This is a Registered Nurse position who will work as a staff nurse in Cardiology primarily for supervision of Stress Exams. Provides supervision of the Cardiac Exercise Tests to include Stress Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging (exercise and pharmacological) under the direct supervision of a physician. Records and evaluates theprofessional nursing care provided to patients in the Nuclear Imaging andCardiology Departments. The patient population served includes all patients treated from the age of 14 to geriatrics. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: Active Kentucky Registered Nurse License A minimum of one year in a Critical Care Department with Advanced Knowledge of Electrocardiographic Interpretation. BCLS Required ACLS Required Completion of training on the Supervision of Exercise Testing as listed in the Job Summary above which includes participation in at least 30 procedures during training or previous experience with exercise test supervision.
