Position Title: Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Salary: $65,000 to $70,000

Other Forms of Compensation: Paid Parking and Free Meals

Job Summary

Summary: As an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day food service operations of a medium to large volume location. You will manage and lead a team of associates, and will be responsible for talent development, managing client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Chef and management team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
  • Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
  • Manages, trains, and develops associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assign workstations and specific job duties in opening/closing and side duties
  • Responsible for set-up and cleanup of all banquet functions, concessions, outlets, and restaurants
  • Must interpret and execute table layout and diagram for catered events
  • Anticipate and plan for adequate operational supplies to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Must ensure that all standards within specific time frames
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the menu and an ability to give a good "flavorful" description of the items to both the banquet staff and guests
  • Enforces banquet uniform standards
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our clients and building staff
  • Establish and maintain good employee relations through effective hiring, positive motivation, training and development
  • Responsible for the overall financial success of the operation through monthly forecast of performance to budget and plan
  • Track revenue and labor on a daily basis
  • Assist with ordering of beverage and food inventory for concessions and supplies
  • Analyze and initiate action to improve product, company image and profitability
  • Ensure strict compliance with cash handling procedures and reconciliation of the daily receipts
  • Must ensure that opening and closing duties have been successful completed

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
  • Catering exp
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Financial experience and business acumen skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • At least four (4) years prior experience with proven track record in a similar facility.
  • Alcohol and Food Handlers Certifications
  • Extremely organized and multi-tasked oriented
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Possess excellent supervisory skills
  • Computer proficient
  • Must be committed to exceptional customer service
