Job Overview:

Responsible for total operation of the hotline and shelter on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma 2 years' experience working in the field preferred
• Must have knowledge of the dynamics of Domestic Violence 40-hour Domestic Violence training certificate required
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and independently

• Full-Time
• Evening
• 3PM-11PM or 4PM-12AM

Essential Functions:

• Answer the hotline and provide an appropriate service or referral
• Admit clients to shelter, assign rooms, and provide personal items
• Complete all the admission paperwork
• Assure the security of a facility at all times
• Complete shift checklist before the end of the shift
• Record all occurrences, admissions, and hotline calls for next-shift personnel
• Enforce all shelter guidelines and regulations
• Mediate client disputes in a non-threatening manner
• Respond to clients' needs inappropriately
• Provide support counseling as needed
• Accept donations delivered to the facility during off-hours
• Order meals on the appropriate shift
