The Hydraulic Mechanic II is an experienced professional with knowledge of and some experience in the maintenance and repairs of hydraulic components and equipment. Works independently, performing planned equipment maintenance and unplanned repairs. Works as part of a larger vehicle fleet services team that is responsible for vehicle acquisition, deployment, and disposition and will contribute to those efforts as required. Plays a critical role in storm response, assisting in fleet logistics and vehicle maintenance as needed.

Key Responsibilities
- Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Independently performs scheduled field equipment maintenance that includes inspection and replacement of hydraulic lines, hydraulic hoses, and hydraulic components.
- With minimal assistance, performs field hydraulic equipment diagnostics and completes technical repairs. Examples of this work are disassembling hydraulic system and replacing defective parts, disassembling defective pneumatic cylinders, valves, pumps, and lines.
- Performs emergent field mechanical equipment repairs as needed.
- Assists other mechanics with emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment, as well as installation of production machinery for a new line or process.
- Maintains and operates a safe, clean, and adequately stocked service vehicle
- Participates in on-system and off-system emergency storm response, performing vehicle maintenance and assisting with fleet logistics.

Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience - Secondary/High School Diploma
- 3-5+ years of related experience
- Ability to read hydraulic equipment blueprints and diagrams
- Step progression levels based on skill proficiency and scope of job.
- Strong knowledge of leading practices for their practice area
- Strong planning and project management skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
- Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, presenting ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner

Licenses and Certifications
- Commercial Driver's License within 6 months of hire
