Job Summary

The ERP Application Developer II works with and/or leads other developers, business analysts, and users to design, implement, and support the University's administrative applications. The role includes leveraging experience with Perceptive Content for document management and Brainware for automating the capture, classification, and processing of transcripts and invoices. These products will be integrated into the ERP system to enhance data management and streamline administrative workflows.

  • Analyzes, designs, and creates specifications for ERP software package application functionalities and/or requirements, including integrating Perceptive Content to manage unstructured documents.
  • Develops data management scripts for both the ERP system and document management processes, including workflow automation, and integration with the Perceptive suite of products.
  • Analyzes and understands vendor interfaces and related business processes, particularly those involving Hyland's Perceptive Content for seamless document management and Brainware solutions to enhance document-driven processes and integrate them into ERP systems.
  • Develops, customizes, reports, interfaces, and processes using ERP software package tools and Perceptive Suite of products.
  • Understands and implements change control methodology.
  • Provides assistance to all phases of the project set up and prototyping, design, development, conversion, testing, and deployment.
  • Creates accurate and detailed documentation for the department.
  • Assists with providing proof of concept through extensive prototyping for project stakeholders and end users and proposes technical solutions.
  • Assists in addressing problems related to systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform integration. This includes guidance related to general and portal-specific software design, processes development, security, infrastructure, migration, paths, and deployment best practices.
  • Interprets departmental rules and policies related to information systems and recommends new and improved programs to effectively manage information systems functions.
  • May supervise lower-level staff.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology/systems or engineering. Four (4) years of design and development experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Financials/Contracts and Grants, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Portal or other large scale ERP system; four (4) years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and support.

OR

Master's degree in computer science, information technology/systems or engineering. Two (2) years of design and development experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Financials/Contracts and Grants, Human Capital Management, Enterprise Portal, or other large scale ERP system; two (2) years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and support.

Desired Qualifications

  • PeopleSoft Developer 1 Certified Expert
  • Completion of Perceptive Content training, or equivalent experience with Perceptive Content system administration and workflow automation
