TITLE: Plant Manager

LOCATION: Onsite in Lithonia, GA

COMP RANGE: $160,000 - $190,000/year plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring a Plant Manager to be responsible for all facets of the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility including Employee Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Production, Warehousing, Maintenance, Engineering, Sanitation and GPS (Lean Manufacturing) activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

As a Plant Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure production of safe product in a safe way.
  • Drive implementation of the GPS/Lean enterprise and continuous improvement cultural transformation.
  • Foster a positive, engaging morale and an inclusive and participative environment.
  • Deliver operational plan at budget.
  • Understand and meet customer requirements.

The Plant Manager position is well suited for you if you:

  • Are a visible leader on the production floor that connects with the employees.
  • Drive and own accountability across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale KPI's.
  • Drive the cultural transformation and results expected across the site.
  • Develop and manage the right operations budget to achieve goals.
  • Are able to identify and develop leaders.
  • Are well organized and able to solve problems.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree and ten years' manufacturing management experience.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; good listening skills; a team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the company and who is sensitive to cultural differences.
  • Ability to solve practical problems dealing with multiple variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and change.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.

What will set you apart:

  • Supply Chain, Lean and/or Six Sigma education
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment

This role is affiliated to the Lithonia, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
