This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Vehicle Integration Team. Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld. Keep projects on track to meet program milestones and delivery targets. Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain phenomenal people. Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment and growth. Responsible for prioritizing and establishing Work Center assignments, employee training, overtime assignments, and back-up for absent employees. Maintain all shop programs including Safety, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, FOD, and Clean as you go. Author job descriptions, screen candidates, and conduct interviews. Make hiring recommendations. Develop and implement processes, and continuous safety/quality improvements.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field. Minimum of 3 years in a leadership position leading a team of 10+ people. Leadership experience with dynamic team environments. Passion. This role requires a ton of energy and resilience. Bring it. Let's make history together. Experience as a "front line" leader, working directly with individual contributors in various roles. Work collaboratively with teams of different skills, fields, and backgrounds. Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with constantly evolving roles and responsibilities. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately - in writing, in person, and via video calls, digital literacy. Work wherever, whenever, and however best to help your team succeed. This will include extended hours and weekends and all shifts when vital. Occasional remote work and/or flexible schedule is available when possible. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret controlled documentation and processes such as mechanical drawings, GD&T, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts lists. Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission. Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
Desired:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Management, Business, etc.) or equivalent directly related years of professional experience. Experience with fabrication, structure assembly, and/or avionic systems integration. Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and coordination skills. Continuous improvement mentality. Our job is never complete; we are always refining and improving. Curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it. Lean certification. Experience in new product introduction. Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicles. Experience in assembly, integration, and handling of large products. Compensation Range for: WA applicants is $46.42-$64.98
