Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to leadour Advanced Surgical SaaS project as part of our initiatives and product offering in integrated Surgical Operating room. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional execution, managing technical and operational deliverables, and ensuring alignment with strategic program goals. The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination across engineering, supply chain, regulatory, and OEM stakeholders, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of all project milestones.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution oflarge-scale projects for product development (NPI), ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget across all development phases
  • Create and monitor project plans including milestone timelines, COGS, project costs, and NREs
  • Guide the project team through the individual development phases in compliance with Novanta's Design Control Process
  • Align and coordinate shared resources within a global organization
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through structured sprint planning, Obeya style meetings, and milestone fidelity reviews
  • Manage risk mitigation strategies, including resource planning, cost reduction opportunities, and contingency actions for technical challenges
  • Drive project financial tracking through cost forecasting, variance analysis, and alignment with program-level targets
  • Coordinate with OEM customers and internal stakeholders to ensure products are developed in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging PMP tools, Kaizen methodologies, and agile workflows
  • Provide clear and consistent communication to leadership and team members, ensuring transparency and accountability

General Tasks

  • Implementation of departmental and product group strategy
  • Coordination with other project managers on processes, interfaces and cross-functional tasks
  • Active participation in the innovation process & continuous improvement
  • Strict compliance with quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; PMP certification and/or MBA are a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience managing complex, technical SaaS projects managing device fleets, preferably in medical device or similar regulated industries
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a matrixed environment
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMP).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with in person and remote teams located in different countries

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel within US and globally (Germany, Czech Republic) periodically. Up to 10%.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is office environment with occasional but not required need to lift and carry heavy objects.
