Position Description:
As an Administrative Assistant in Otolaryngology you will perform routine administrative duties requiring general knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, under general supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and compose correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other documents using basic and more advanced functions of computer applications and software packages.
- Answer and relay patient telephone calls, resolve routine inquiries, and take appropriate messages.
- Coordinate and maintain calendar of events, appointments, meetings, and travel itineraries for assigned Faculty and Advance Practice Providers.
- Coordinate and schedule patient clinic appointments, procedures and surgeries for assigned Faculty and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Support pre-visit and pre-op planning including but not limited to creation of cosmetic quotes, sending instructions to patients via MyChart and phone call, completing patient questionnaires and working with surgeon in clinic to schedule ad hoc.
- Maintain records and file system to effectively manage information following regulatory guidelines.
- Respond to various situations in the work of the division or department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
Minimum Required Education: High school diploma
Minimum Required Experience: 3 years of experience
