Seeking a Part-Time Powertrain engineer with a specialty in powertrain thermal management. Essential Job Functions: The powertrain engineer interacts with PEOs, PMs, GVSC organization, and other external government, industry, and academic organizations as necessary. Serve as senior engineer, providing technical support to GVPM. Provides technical guidance and expertise supporting major projects with coordination and concepting of powertrain architectures and design functions to deliver thermal management activities for propulsion and mobility applications. The powertrain thermal engineer is responsible for supporting technical decisions, writing/reviewing technical documents, concept modeling, thermal analysis, coordinating thermal management technology engineering and integration activities while developing / testing components from concept through demonstration. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD Clearance. A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of experience is required. The position requires a background in propulsion thermal management systems including systems engineering, integration into military platforms, technology development, thermal controls development, thermal electrification and testing.
