A Day In The Life

As a Sr Manager Process Engineer you will:

  • Lead, motivate, reward, and develop the Process Engineering team and ensure their compliance with all applicable rules and regulations
  • Provide productive, cost-effective, and safe process design, process control, process optimization and process capability services in support of VPC and PDC business goals
  • Provide time studies, support documentation, data, training, compliance audits and proposals in support of function number
  • Provide support to facilities group making safety and the elimination of production down time as a priority to support VPC and PDC business goals
  • Collaborate with facilities groups to develop and maintain annual and tong term Facilities plans that will support VPC and PDC strategic business goals
  • Manage and oversee the work of outside consultants and contractors that support engineering.
  • Develop budget recommendations for department and manage adherence to approved budgets
  • Fully coordinate and communicate department actions within VPC and PDC
  • Lead major project initiatives for both VPC and PDC; projects can include but are not limited to system installations, bench marking, construction, process reengineering and improvements
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Additional responsibilities include sponsoring, directing, coordinating, supporting project and process improvement teams, collaborating with and/or supporting project teams sponsored by other management team members

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
  • 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate leadership, team building, action planning, and coordinating skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current state-of-the-art logistics, transportation, and quality control systems
  • Is able to promote, coordinate, and support change
  • Is able to communicate effectively - orally and in writing
  • Understand GST financial and productivity measurements
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align process improvements with strategic goals
  • Working knowledge of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, Standard Work)
  • Kaizen leadership - experience facilitating Kaizen events and embedding continuous improvement culture
  • Six Sigma familiarity or certification (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred
  • Root cause analysis methods (A3 problem-solving, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams)
  • Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, statistical tools like Minitab)
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required

Physical Requirements
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements

  • 20% Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis)
