Position: Mixing Operator

Position Summary: The Mixing department is responsible for the preparation and mixing of liquid goods, either latex or non-latex as the beginning part of our manufacturing process. Work is completed for this department thru the use of basic machine operation and recipe management. Individuals in this department are responsible for maintaining quality and speed performance within the scope of their role, while minimizing scrap, in addition to working to ensure the accuracy of all manufacturing data and documentation.

Key Responsibilities/Skills:

Mixer Operator 1

  • Follows the requirements of the assigned schedule to meet production demand.
  • Loads and unloads mixing machines with liquid and chemical items based on formula
  • Cleans production area, pumps, and assigned equipment
  • Notifies and advises the team leads and production management on issues and/or improvements pertaining to the mixing function, and/or mixing environment
  • Prepares work documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all production and regulatory policies and procedures
  • Follows all Milliken safety and quality guidelines, adhering to PPE and training requirements for position
  • Notifies and advises the team leads, production management and maintenance on all issues related to safety
  • Other duties as assigned, such as but not limited to: process and workflow improvement projects, new product development activities, quality investigations, etc.

Mixing Operator 2

  • All qualifications for Mixer
  • Sets up mixing equipment, material, and machinery based on established specifications
  • Adjusts equipment to maintain proper quality and speed standards and follows all quality requirements and procedures to ensure first quality production

Mixing Operator 3

  • All qualifications for Adv. Mixer
  • Ability to plan, lead and execute projects
  • Committee attendance required

Qualifications: Required

  • High School diploma, GED and/or equivalent experience
  • Prior manufacturing experience, preferably within a regulated goods industry such as healthcare or food and beverage production.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at an 8th grade level
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to assess visual differences between product, in color, size, pattern, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong preference for Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) candidates
  • Willingness to embrace and embody the core values of Milliken
