Position SummaryResponsible for the daily activities of the nursing staff to facilitate optimal patient care. :Collaborates with the Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and others in the implementation and evaluation of nursing and causality assurance and all educational activities on assigned unit and related duties. Vascular access nurses have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include but are not limited to:
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS RNs must be able to completed theoretical and practical formal education in vascular device placement to be authorized to place Advanced Peripherals, Midlines, PICC at the patients beside using ultrasound guidance. RN must also be able to navigate and chart in electronic medical record, have excellent critical thinking skills, Compassion, Organization, Dexterity, and good interpersonal skills.
Must have a minimum of 1-year vascular access experience using ultrasound, including PICC line insertion PICC certification required ICU or Critical care experience preferred EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
