Summary of Position

The Vice President of People, North America provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization's HR operations for North America. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals and setting and maintaining legally compliant human resources policies and procedures. The Vice President will serve in a leadership capacity across global HR initiatives providing subject matter expertise and guidance to meet needs for the North American business. This position reports directly to the CEO of North America and the Chief People Officer.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with senior leaders to design and deliver a North America people strategy aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning to support business needs, with a focus on improving time-to-fill metrics and ensuring high-quality, long-term hires.
  • Drive employee experience and engagement initiatives across all sites; including regular surveys and change champion network initiatives.
  • Manage compensation reviews to ensure base salary, bonus, and equity programs are externally competitive and internally equitable across all employee groups.
  • Ensure all benefit offerings and related policies (medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), etc.) are market-competitive, legally compliant, and aligned with workforce expectations.
  • Own HRIS and payroll systems for NA employees and lead annual talent management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, talent profiles, career development, succession planning, rewards programs, and 180-degree leadership assessments.
  • Build employee and leader development through strategic programs, including intern pipelines, structured learning journeys and diverse mentoring models ranging from traditional 1:1 to group mentoring.
  • Lead organizational design and change management initiatives to improve effectiveness and scalability.
  • Oversee HR operations and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian employment and labor laws.
  • Maintain accountability for all HR financials, including forecasting, expense management, and ROI evaluation of people programs.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master Degree preferred; willing to consider equivalent work experience
  • At least ten years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management experience highly preferred
  • Human Resources' certification desired
  • Strong leadership skills with proven accountability and excellent communication abilities
  • Advanced analytical and project management skills; strategic thinker capable of making tough decisions
  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time



Working Conditions:



  • Willingness to work in a team-based environment across multiple locations and outside normal business hours if needed
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties
  • This position requires up to 25% travel, occasionally international
