Description
Summary / Position Purpose: The Quality Manager role is crucial for ensuing the quality and efficiency of the distribution process. This role is responsible for overseeing, implementing and maintaining quality management system (QMS) and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, and regulatory guidelines and customer requirements. This role will lead the quality assurance team, train staff on quality standard best practices, analyze data to identify trend and areas for improvement, manage quality initiatives, drive continuous improvement efforts, and partner cross-functionally with suppliers and distribution teams to uphold the highest product and service standards. Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9120 and other applicable standards.
- Champion the internal audit program, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the quality control measures and host external audits, with customers and registrars.
- Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Manage quality projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery of results.
- Provide training, coaching and support to staff on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
- Compile, analyze and monitor data for trend analysis and implement improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
- Maintain documentation and records related to product quality, compliance, and customer requirements.
- Prepare reports and records on work function activities for management.
- Monitor and analyze costs and participate in the preparation of the budget.

Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS standards, and regulatory compliance
- 5+ years of quality management experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry type of environments
- 3+ years or proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role, preferably within a distribution or manufacturing environment
- Experience in managing remote employees is a plus
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address quality issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders
- Certification in Quality and auditing (CQE, CQA, or similar) are advantageous
- Ability to travel often to suppliers, customers, and other company sites will be required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
