Your Role:

This position will be primarily responsible for developing and improving new technologies and workflows within assigned laboratory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide complete data consolidation report for interpretation in collaboration with the team scientists.
  • Present data and summaries in internal meetings
  • Sets-up and run instruments.
  • Plan and perform tissue work for immunohistochemistry assays.
  • Perform experiments related to new technology development.
  • Maintain instrumentation in the lab.
  • Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, Molecular Biology, related field. Relevant bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant laboratory experience or Relevant Master's degree and 2 years relevant laboratory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understand underlying technical principles of next generation sequencing (NGS) chemistries and workflows.
  • Experience working with immunohistochemistry and tissues. Experience in NGS technology.

  • Travel International and Domestically up to 5%

Work Environment:

Generally, this job is performed in a sanitized laboratory setting and routinely uses standard medical and research equipment such as centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, microscopes, incubators, pipettes and computers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to blood, viruses, bacteria, body fluids and other tissues. Employees entering and leaving the laboratory must wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment such as scrubs, coveralls, masks, glasses and gloves. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.The noise level in the work enviornment is usually moderate. Employees must wear appropiate clothing and protective equipment such as masks, glasses and glovers when entering the manufacturing and/or laboratory.
