Are you a watercraft enthusiast? Horseshoe Bay Resort Marina is in search of a Marina Tritoon Captain. You will be responsible for the marina store watercraft rentals, valet service, safely driving pontoon/tritoons, assisting hut personnel and cleaning and maintaining water sport equipment; plus any other duties assigned by the Marina Managers and Supervisors.

Definition:

Marina Tritoon Captain is responsible for the marina store, watercraft rentals, valet service, safely driving pontoon/tritoons, assisting hut personnel, and cleaning and maintaining water sport equipment; plus any other duties assigned by the Marina Managers and Supervisors. Tritoon Captains greet and assist members/guests while maintaining a friendly disposition and facilitating a high Horseshoe Bay Resort standard to maximize watercraft rentals and retail sales while creating and enhancing the guests' lake experience.

General Duties:



  • Greet/assist members and guests
  • Manage open/close procedures daily
  • Take care of and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the rental fleet
  • Demonstrate strong boat and sea doo driving capabilities
  • Charter groups on Lake LBJ on high-quality watercrafts with a high level of care and hospitality, to continue raising the standards of Horseshoe Bay Resort Marina
  • Maintaining cleanliness on watercrafts to ensure rental standards are kept
  • Towing tubes behind Resort tritoons in a safe manner
  • Assist personnel with sea doo, pontoon, paddleboards, and kayaks rentals
  • Refueling Marina watercrafts between rentals
  • Assist members with gas, valet service, and any special requests
  • Maintain professional composure in a high-stress environment
  • Assist members and guests with launching and loading boats, both on and off trailers
  • Basic maintenance services
  • Cleaning, pressure washing, and removing spider webs from the Marina docks regularly


Employment Standards:



  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required.
  • Must hold a current Boaters Safety Certification
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test
  • CPR certified and first responder certified - encouraged
  • Ability to drive different watercraft types safely and responsibly
  • Knowledge and experience with watersports
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Service and detail oriented: able and willing to accommodate and anticipate guests needs, oftentimes last-minute
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills required
  • Solution and team-oriented
  • Flexible and accommodating attitude
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality.

  • Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions common to Texas
  • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized work area.
  • Be on time for your shift and maintain the schedule provided
  • Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to properly drive a wake boat, a pontoon boat, sea doo, and a dining yacht
  • Ability to handle boats safely on high-traffic days on the lake
  • Ability to multitask, be efficient, and productive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Walk/stand for an extended period of time
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Ascend/descend stairs as a daily routine.
  • Must be able to interact with co-workers, customers, and have a sense of TEAM
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with the public to make them comfortable and enhance their experience on the water.
