Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk - 3x12 Hour Shifts (Day Shift) Location: Des Moines, IA Schedule Options: * Team A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + every other Wednesday * Team B: Thursday, Friday, Saturday + every other Wednesday * Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Department: Warehouse Operations Position Overview We're seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse operations in Des Moines. This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring smooth material flow using our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You'll play a key role in offloading trucks, verifying deliveries, and checking out materials to internal teams. Key Responsibilities * Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments * Oversee offloading of trucks and verify delivery accuracy * Utilize WMS to track inventory, update records, and process transactions * Perform routine inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies * Prepare outgoing shipments and ensure proper packaging and labeling * Check out materials to internal departments and maintain accountability logs * Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment * Communicate with drivers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate logistics * Follow safety protocols and report any issues or damages promptly Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations * Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred) * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Basic computer proficiency (email, inventory software, scanning tools) * Reliable transportation and punctuality for 12-hour shifts Preferred Skills * Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment * Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) * Strong communication and teamwork abilities * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.87 - $23.87/hr.
