In this position you will work with applications engineers, product engineers and account managers to design and offer Leybold service and solutions that helps clients supercharge their process efficiencies. This position acts as the service sales liaison between the Leybold factory and the client with the intent to teach companies how to maximize the life cycle of their equipment through means of the VTS Service Ladder.


Main Responsibilities:


  • This position is an even mix of time in the home office and on-site work at some of the worlds most technologically advanced factories, to demonstrate to engineers and management how to maximixe the life of their equipment by teaching and promoting the VTS Service Ladder.





  • Promote company service products (Service Ladder) by understanding failure modes and working to offer customers service products options that can mitigate downtime and/or failure of the equipment to maxamize the COO while delivering a positive customer experience to the assigned account base within a geographic region, focusing on all markets inlcuding: metallurgy and materials, architectural glass, energy and energy physics, food production technology, space and rocket manufacturing technology, aerospace, automotive and electric vehicle, freeze drying technology, silicon carbide technology, high tech ceramics, and more.





  • Develop and implement a vision and a method to expand the level of business done in a geographical region which includes current clients as well as new opportunities for the Leybold products and services.





  • Delight customers by providing outstanding technical support, service, and product selection assistance.





  • Responsible for maintaining company property (company car, computer, office equipment, customer demo/loaner products, consignment stock, etc.) that is in his/her control, and or at his/her customer site.





  • Has primary responsibility for selling the portfolio of the Leybold Services Product range.





  • Communicate, collaborate, and support equipment sales team in carrying out operational reviews at accounts to secure repeat orders and present service as a differentiator to successfully penetrate new business.





  • Prepares materials for presentations and makes service sales presentations as needed.





  • Primarily focused on developing new business from customers that have not had their pumps serviced, are lost, pumps due for service, newly installed eqiupment or competitive equipment.





  • Analyze the current potential needs of assigned customers and communicate closely with internal teams to provide a one-stop vacuum after-sales service solutions.



To succeed, you will need

Education:




  • Engineering/science degree or technical equivalent (engineering related job experience)




Skills & Knowledge:




  • Skilled at generating your own leads through cold calling, blitzing, research, networking, and driving your territory



  • Experience with on-site customer facing role



  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills





  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and communicate technical information





  • Ability to create custom solutions to address specific process needs by bringing together the needed company technical resources is a must.





  • The ability to get along with others and engage them in projects or activities





  • Ability to focus from one task to another





  • Prioritize tasks effectively





  • Excellent PC skills are required (MS Office, Word, Excel, & Powerpoint)




Other Requirements:




  • Prospecting and selling mentality


  • A background in a technical operational side and rotating equipment of sales

  • High energy individual with insatiable curiosity and commitment to get it done.



  • Ability to learn quickly and think outside of the box.

  • Aptitude in mechanical systems, vacuum systems, and fluid systems is a plus.





  • Valid Drivers License required

Compensation:


The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on everyone's qualifications.


Location Based Pay Ranges:


$78,200 - $104,500 in these states: NY, CT, MA
