Job Purpose:
The Fabricator/Welder will be a key player in our production team, responsible for performing a wide range of fabrication and welding tasks. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of metalwork, precision, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Honor Commitments:
- Install and secure truck bodies, beds, and other large components onto vehicle frames as specified by the work order.
- Mount and integrate specialized equipment like plows, hitches, and pintle plates, ensuring the work is completed correctly.
- Execute precise frame modifications to accommodate various upfitting needs, ensuring the final product matches the agreed-upon design.
Create Positive Experiences:
- Perform custom fabrication work for parts such as headache racks, fenders, and other truck accessories.
- Utilize and maintain welding equipment to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Adhere to quality standards to ensure all work is durable, functional, and meets client expectations.
- Work with various materials, including steel and aluminum, to create durable and functional parts.
- Perform a variety of welding tasks, including MIG and stick welding, to ensure secure and structurally sound connections.
Foster Life-long Learning:
- Stay current on new welding techniques, tools, and industry best practices.
Exhibit a Pioneering Spirit:
- Execute precise frame modifications to accommodate various upfitting needs.
- Troubleshoot and solve fabrication and welding challenges as they arise, finding innovative solutions.

- Use materials, including steel and aluminum, efficiently to minimize waste and control costs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, additional trade school training preferred.
- Three (3) years of related experience in truck service operations.
- Proven experience as a fabricator and welder, preferably in an automotive, truck upfitting, or similar heavy equipment environment.
- Proficiency in MIG and stick welding is a must.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking, including cutting, shaping, and forming.
- Experience with vehicle frame modifications and component installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
- A valid driver's license with a 3 year history required.
